The hotel has recently been enlarged by the addition of a third
floor built in the same architectural style as the original building.
It boasts 140 elegantly furnished air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms,
including 15 suites.
All our rooms include mini-bars, satellite television, hair dryers,
and all the facilities one would expect in a luxury hotel.
The vast majority of the bedrooms have a sun facing south-easterly
aspect allowing uninterrupted views of the gardens and the renowned
Bay of Tangiers.
The bedrooms are situated off elegant, richly carpeted and furnished
Hispano-Moorish corridors. In designing and decorating the El
Minzah successive owners have ensured that it reflects the magnificence
and purity of line of Andalousian good taste in which restraint
and richness were considered of equal importance in producing

Patio
Entering through the magnificently carved sandstone portal and
iron studded wooden doors of the El Minzah; the visitor descends
a flight of marble steps to the Andalusian Patio.
This patio is the heart of the hotel and is exceptionally beautiful.
Its architecture, fountains and orange trees create an exquisite
atmosphere for dining from morning into the evening.
In addition, the pillars, crowned by Moorish-Corinthian capitals,
support an arcade that has walls which are lavishly embellished
with hand cut blue and white Moroccan mosaics.
The Patio of the El Minzah is the epitome of sophistication and
is the most abiding memory for many of the visitors. |
Restaurants & Bars
At the El Minzah our clients have the choice of three restaurants
including an authentic moroccan cuisine in traditional decoration
and one piano bar, all of them with elegant setting and relaxed
atmosphere. Lunch is served also all year long around the pool. |

Leisure Activities
Fitness Centre The hotel has recently upgraded its facilities
by building a Fitness Centre furnished with sophisticated body
building equipment, a sauna, Jacuzzi, and massage rooms. In addition
the Club boasts a beautician centre and hairdressing salon which
have become popular among both guests of the hotel and the city's
elite. The Fitness Centre and Club are situated in the hotel's
garden, a site deliberately chosen to add to their charm and their
potential to reinvigorate their clients. The Fitness centre, hair
dressing salon and beauty parlour are fully staffed by professionals.
Tennis Club Five minutes walk from the El Minzah hotel, almost
in the heart of the city, is the Emsallah Garden and Tennis Club.
Royal Club Equestre Situated opposite the Boubana cemetery, just
over one kilometre from Place de France (the centre of Tangier)
on the Mountain Road is the Riding or Royal Club Equestre. Founded
more than a century ago on this same site it was once the most
popular recreation centres in Tangier, popular with both the Diplomatic
Corps and Moroccan Nobility alike.
Golf Country Club Situated on the road to Cap Spartel, some ten
minutes drive from the El Minzah, is the magnificently situated
and appointed Diplomatic Country Club .
It is one of the most beautiful courses in the kingdom. The club
house is a splendid remnant of the International Period »,
aristocratic and elegant. It boasts an airy salon, bar, restaurant,
cards room, etc., making it one of the Morocco's most distinguished
and best. |
Location
The hotel was built in a Spanish-Moorish style in 1930 and it
is located in the mystical city of Tangiers. El Minzah faces the
strait of Gibraltar and is close to the beach, the port, the Tangiers
Train Station and is 12 kilometers from the Tangiers Airport.
